Interfaith Marriages

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

           
Muslim men  and women are told  to seek faithful spouses  with a
strong,  good  belief,  and  not  allow  non-Muslim standards of
selection influence them.

Muslim men  can marry only  Muslim, Christian, or  Jewish chaste
women, while Muslim women can marry only chaste Muslim men.

Allah (s.w.t.)  said: {{This day are  (all) good things made
lawful  for you.  The food  of those  who have  received the
Scripture  is lawful  for you,  and your  food is lawful for
them. And so are the virtuous women of the believers and the
virtuous  women of  those  who  have received  the Scripture
before  you  (lawful  for  you)  when  you  give  them their
marriage  portions  and  live  with  them  in  honor, not in
fornication,  nor taking  them as  secret concubines.  Whoso
denies the faith, his work is  vain and he will be among the
losers in the Hereafter.}} [Al-Qur'an: Al-Ma'idah (5:5)].

A Muslim man is discouraged  from marrying a non-Muslim woman if
there is no Islamic State or if  he is not living in an existing
Islamic state, since the non-Islamic states do not recognize his
rights as head of the  family to raise the children Islamically.
On the contrary, the children will  most likely be brought up in
their mother's religion, since the  Muslim husband does not have
his Islamic rights in his non-Muslim wife's country.

There are many  tragic examples of Muslim men  who tried to take
their  children to  their Muslim  countries after  they divorced
non-Muslim wives. The women in  many of these cases succeeded in
bringing  the  children  back  to  be  raised in the non-Islamic
societies  as  non-Muslims.  The  fathers  are  referred  to  as
kidnappers  (of their  own children)  in the  non-Islamic media.
Unfortunately,  even the  governments in  Muslim countries these
days help the  non-Muslim wives to get custody  of the children.
This  is due  to the  absence of  an Islamic  state which  would
protect Muslim children from being kidnapped by non-Muslim wives
to be raised as non-Muslims.

Muslim  men  should  consider  these  issues  before  they marry
non-Muslim women, especially when the man is strongly influenced
by  her physical  appearance. A  Muslim man  should look  to the
future and  consider his duties  toward his children.  The cases
mentioned show clearly  the damage that can be  done to children
in interfaith marriages, and while a personal sin may be easy to
forget and repent from, one may never overcome the problems that
arise  because  his  children  were  raised  as non-Muslims as a
result of  his negligence concerning providing  the right spouse
and community for them. Children have the right to be brought up
in an Islamic environment by good Muslim parents.

The  benefits of  marrying a  non-Muslim woman  are minimal when
both live  in a non-Islamic  state. The woman  and her relatives
would not  see how Muslims live  as a community, nor  would they
have close contact with family,  should the Muslim man decide to
marry her and live outside  the Islamic State. Marrying a chaste
Christian  or  Jewish  woman  in  a  non-Islamic state should be
considered as a last resort and  as the only alternative to keep
him from falling into adultery. Men, however, should be aware of
the fact that most women in non-Islamic societies do not qualify
as chaste women in Islam,  (i.e. abstention from unlawful sexual
activities). Some Muslim men  ignore these conditions and ignore
the commands of Allah when they are misled and fooled by a smile
from a non-Muslim woman.

Abdullah  Ibn  `Abbas,  a  famous  companion  of the Prophet
(s.a.w.) and  a famous scholar, said  that Muslim men should
not  marry Christian  or Jewish  women from  people who  are
enemies of Islam.

Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradhawi, a contemporary Muslim scholar, said that
the Christian  or Jewish women can  be married only if  the four
conditions summarized below are satisfied:

She must be  Kitabiyyah, i.e. Christian or Jewish  by faith, and
not by virtue  of birth into a Christian  or Jewish family. Many
women  who  live  in  Christian  or  Jewish  societies today are
atheists, Buddhists  or Bahai's. These women  are prohibited for
Muslim  men.  A  woman  who  commits  apostasy,  by  becoming  a
non-Muslim after being a Muslim, would not be allowed to marry a
Muslim man, since apostasy is much worse than unbelief.


She must be Muhsanah, which means chaste and virtuous. Women who
are involved  in illicit relationships  with men are  prohibited
for Muslim men. Most non-Muslim  women these days do not qualify
as Muhsanat  (chaste and virtuous women  who abstain from sexual
activities outside  marriage), and Muslim men  should fear Allah
and keep this condition in mind.


The woman  should not be from  people who are fighting  Islam or
are helping others  to fight Islam. Since Israel  is at war with
Islam, all Jews around the  world are helping Israel, Muslim men
should not  marry Jewish women  is she is  from people who  help
Israel.


There should  be no threat  or possible harm  from marrying her.
For example, if a man's children would not be raised as Muslims,
he should not marry her. If  the courts in a non-Islamic society
would give the  children to her in the case  of divorce, then he
cannot  marry her,  unless she   agrees that  he would  have the
children in the case of divorce.

Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradhawi  also said that Muslim men  may not marry
Christian  or Jewish  women if  the Muslim  community is a small
minority in a huge non-Muslim  society, and such marriages would
make it impossible for Muslim women to find Muslim men to marry.
This is  classified under "limiting the  allowed" in the Islamic
jurisprudence. Dr.  Yusuf Al-Qaradhawi used the  example that if
all people  grew cotton instead  of wheat, the  government would
have  the right  to stop  them from  doing so,  since wheat is a
necessary food ingredient, even though growing cotton is allowed
in normal cases.

Non-Muslim women who repent and  accept Islam are treated as any
other  Muslim if  their acceptance  of Islam  is sincere and not
merely for  the purpose of  marrying Muslim men.  Islam forgives
all that  was before it.  Some people, however,  accept Islam by
name only to marry a Muslim, without showing the least change in
their  lifestyles to  prove that  they are  following Islam. One
should not marry from such people.

There are many Muslim girls of a marriageable age who are living
in non-Islamic countries,  and it is the duty  of the Muslim men
to protect  these girls from  marrying non-Muslim men,  which is
absolutely prohibited  in Islam. If Muslim  men loosely practice
their  right to  marry Christian  or Jewish  women, the  Muslims
girls  in non-Islamic  societies  will  be forced  into unwanted
circumstances  and  Muslim  men   will  be  at  least  partially
responsible  and will  get their  share of  the punishment  from
Allah.

    In  considering  marriage  to  a  non-Muslim  woman a man should
remember  that  marriage  is   more  than  the  private  marital
relationship. A good Muslim woman would provide her husband with
total security, comfort, trust,  tranquility, and happiness, and
would raise the  children as good Muslims. A  man would not have
to see his children taken to a church every Sunday without being
able to prevent it or live  with the concern that his wife would
teach his  children un-Islamic traditions. It  is much easier to
trust a Muslim  woman than to trust a  non-Muslim woman who does
not fear Allah,  and know that He is watching  her all the time.
And  certainly a  woman who  does not  fear Allah,  who sees and
knows everything, will not fear or  obey her husband who is only
home in the evenings.

Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said: {A woman is chosen as a wife
for her wealth, beauty, family,  and faith. Win the one that
has the faith or you  would ruin your life.} (Al-Bukhari and
Muslim).

The  following verses  from the  Qur'an beautifully  give us the
guidelines for selecting the right spouse:

Allah   (s.w.t.)  said:   {{Do  not   marry  Mushrik   women
(idolatresses)  until  they  believe;   a  slave  woman  who
believes is better  than a free woman who  does not believe,
even   though  (the   idolatress)  woman   may  appear  very
attractive to  you. (Likewise) Do not  marry (your girls) to
Mushrik men (idolaters) until they  believe; a slave man who
believes is  better than an unbeliever,  even though he (the
Mushrik) may  attract you. These Mushriks  invite you to the
fire,  but Allah,  by His  Grace, invites  you to His Jannah
(Heaven), and forgives by His leave, and (Allah) makes clear
His  messages to  people so  that they  might bear them into
mind.}} [Al-Qur'an: Al-Baqarah (2:221)].

Is "Allah" only for Islam and Muslims?

No! It is for All Three Abrahamic Faiths.

"Allah" is the same word used by Christian Arabs and Jewish Arabs in their Bible, centuries before Islam came.

On page one [1] of Genesis in the Old Testament, we find the word "Allah" seventeen [17] times.

Every hotel and motel on the earth, just about, has a Bible placed there by the Giddion Society. If you look in the introduction, you will find samples of the different languages they have translated. For Arabic they have translated the verse in the New Testament in Arabic from the famous verse in the Gospel John 3:16 -

"For God so loved the world . . . "
- and the word the translators used in Arabic for "God" is the very same word used by Muslims around the planet, "Allah."

Where Does the word "Allah" Come From?

"Allah" comes from the Arabic word "elah" - (Arabic) means 'a god' or something worshipped.

This word (elah) can be made plural (gods), as in "aleha" and it can be male or female just as the word in English can be "goddess."

"Allah" comes from "elaha" but it brings more clarification and understanding.

Allah = Has no gender (not male and not female)

* "He" is used only out of respect and dignity - not for gender

Allah = Always singular - Never plural

* "We" is used only as the "Royal WE" just as in English for royalty

Allah =Means "The Only One to be Worshipped"

How Do You Know He(Allah) Exists?

Once, a Bedouin was asked what made an unsophisticated man like him believe in Allah.

Bedouin: "Do you see these marks in the sand?"
Man: "Yes."
Bedouin: "What do they tell you?"
Man: "A camel went by."
Bedouin: "Did you see the camel?"
Man: "No, but these footprints in the sand suggest that a camel made them."
Bedouin: "Do you see these mountains?"
Man: "Yes."
Bedouin: "They are indicative to me that Allah made them."

Once Khalifa Haroon Rasheed asked Imam Malik: "What is the evidence (daleel) pointing to the existence of Allah (S.W.T.)?"

Imam Malik replied: "Difference in languages, difference in pitches of voice, difference in singing are proof that Allah (S.W.T.) exists!"

The same question was asked, by an atheist, of Imam Abu Hanifa and he replied, "Forget it! At the moment, I am busy thinking about this ship. People tell me there is a big ship, it contains
different goods on board. There is no one to steer it, no one maintaining it. Yet, this ship keeps going back and forth; it even traverses big waves on the oceans; it stops at the locations that it is supposed to stop at; it continues in the direction that it is supposed to head. This ship has no captain and no one planning its trips."

The atheist who posed the question interrupted and exclaimed, "What kind of strange and silly thought is this? How can any intelligent person think that some thing like this can occur?"

Imam Abu Hanifa said, "I feel sorry about your state! You cannot imagine one ship running without some one looking after its affairs. Yet you think that for this whole world, which runs exactly and precisely, there is no one who looks after it, and no one owns it."

Hearing the reply, the atheist was left speechless but he found out more about Haqq (The Truth) and proclaimed Islam.

Imam Shaa'fi replied to the question in the following way, "The leaves of Toot (berries) are all but one. Each leaf tastes exactly the same. Insects, honey bees, cows, goats, and deer live off of it. After eating these the insects produce silk; bees produce honey; deer give musk (a special kind of scent), cows and goats deliver off-springs. Is this not clear evidence that one kind of leaf has so many qualities, and who created these qualities? It is the Khaliq (Creator) who we call Allah (S.W.T.) Who is the Inventor and the Creator."

Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal reflected on the question in the following way. He said, "There is an incredibly strong fort, it has no doors, there is no way to get in. In fact, there is not even a hole in it. From outside it glows like the moon and from inside it shimmers like gold. It is sealed from all sides, matter of fact it is air tight. Suddenly one of its doors breaks down, a living thing with eyes and ears, a beautiful looking animal appears yelling and wandering all over. So is not there a creator who made it possible for life to take place in this secured and closed fort? And is not this Creator better than humans? This Creator has no limit." Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal was referring to an egg which is closed from all sides but Allah (S.W.T.) The Khaliq (Creator) puts life in it and a chick pops out.

Judge yourselves before you are judged on the Day of Resurrection. Make an assessment of yourself before you are called upon to account for your conduct in this existence.

Jesus (Isa) A.S. in Islam, and his Second Coming

I. Jesus (A.S.) In Islam

Muslims do believe that Isa (A.S.) was sent down as a Prophet of Allah (God), but he (Jesus) is not God or Lord, nor the son of God. Muslims do not believe that Isa (A.S.), also known as Jesus by Christians and others, is dead or was ever crucified. We believe that he was raised to heaven and is there, and will descend at the appointed time, end all wars, and bring peace to the world. Like Jesus (A.S.), Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is also a Prophet and Messenger. Muhammed (P.B.U.H.) is the last Prophet, though, and there is none after him. Hence, Islam is the last religion, complete, with the Holy Qur'an as the unchanged and perfect word of God for over 1400 years, as God promised to preserve it till the last day for all of humankind, unlike sacred texts of other religions which have mulitple versions and are "revised" periodically. God, or Allah in Arabic, is Divine and Supreme Being and Creator.

What the Holy Qur'an says about Jesus:

They slew him not, nor did they crucify him but it was made dubious to them.
(Holy Quran, Surah Nisaa, Verse 157)

Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) himself told of the coming of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). In the Bible, Jesus (A.S.) says,

If you love me, Keep my commandments. And I will pray to the Father and He shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever.
(Bible, John 14-15/16)

But when the comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the spirit of Truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me, and he also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
(Bible, John 15-26/27)

I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the spirit of Truth will come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall speak not of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that he shall speak, and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and he shall show it unto you.
(Bible, John 16-12/14)

Ulema (learned scholars in Islam) have said that the person who is described by Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) to come after him - in the above verse - does not comply with any other person but Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

In this case, the "comforter" he mentions is none other than Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his laws and way of life (Shariah) and Book (Holy Qur'an) are those that Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) asks his followers to abide by.

The "person" whom Jesus (A.S.) prophecised will come after him, is called Pargaleeta in the Bible . This word was deleted by interpreters and translators and changed at times to "Spirit of Truth" and at other times, to "comforter" and sometimes "Holy Spirit." The original Greek and its meaning is "one whom people praise exceedingly." The sense of the word, then, is applicable to the word Muhammad in Arabic, since Muhammad means "the praised one."

Jesus (A.S.) also says in the Bible,

... and a little while and you shall not see me; and again a little while, you shall see me because I go to the Father.
(Bible, John 16:16)

... and the Holy Quran says,

And surely they slew him not. But Allah (God) raised him unto Himself.
(Holy Qur'an, Surah Nisaa, Verse 157-158)

As such, Muslims believe that Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) was raised to heaven. According to Hadith, he is on the second heaven. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam=Peace be upon him) mentioned, "During the Meraj (Ascension), I met Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) on the second heaven. I found him of medium stature, reddish white. His body was so clean and clear, that it appeared as though he had just performed ghusal (ablution, cleansing of the entire body) and come." In another Hadith, Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) mentioned to the Jews that, " Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) is not dead, he will most surely return to you before Qiyamat (the Day of Judgement)."

May Allah Guide all people to the Truth. Aameen.

II. Hadhrat Isa's (A.S.) Descension The Physical Features of Hadhrat Isa (A.S.)

He will resemble the famous Sahabi (A.S.) Hadhrat Urwa bin Masoodi (R.A.). He will be of average height and red and white in colour. His hair spread to the shoulders, straight, neat and shining as after a bath. On bending his head, it will seem as if pearls are falling. He will have an armour on his body. He will be wearing two pieces of cloth light yellow in color.

His Descension

He will descend on a Jamaat (group) that will be righteous at the time and comprising of 800 men and 400 women. The people will be preparing for war at the time against Dajjal(the anti-Christ). It will be time for Fajr prayers, and Imam Mahdi (A.S) will be the Amir (leader). From the darkness of the dawn, a sound will suddenly be heard that "one who listens to your pleas has come" -- the righteous people will look everywhere and their eyes will fall on Isa (A.S.). Briefly, at the time of Fajr, Isa (A.S.) will descend. When descending, Isa (A.S.)'s hands will be on the shoulders of two angels (according to another source (Kab Abrar), a cloud will carry him). On their insistence Hadhrat Isa will introduce himself. He will inquire about their enthusiasm and thoughts on Jihad against Dajjal. Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will descend on the eastern side near the Minaret in Damascus (or in Baitul-Muqaddus by Imam Mahdi). At the time Imam Mahdi will have proceeded forward to lead the Fajr Salaat. The Iqamat of the Salaat would have been said (already recited) and Imam Mahdi will call Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) for Imamat (to lead the prayer), but he (Hadhrat Isa (A.S.)) will instead tell Imam Mahdi to lead the prayer since the Iqamat of that Salaat has already been said for him. Thus Imam Mahdi will lead the prayer, and Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will follow him. After the ruku, he will make this statement: "Allah has killed Dajjal and the Muslims have appeared."

The Killing of Dajjal and the Victory of the Muslims.

After the completion of Fajr Salaat (congregational dawn prayers), Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will open the door behind him where Dajjal accompanied by 70,000 Yahudis (Jews) will be. He will indicate with his hand to move away between him (Hadhrat Isa (A.S.)) and Dajjal. Dajjal will then see Hadhrat Isa (A.S.). At that time every Kafir on whom the breath of Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will reach, will die. His breath will reach up to the distance of his eyesight. The Muslims will then come down from the mountains and break loose on the army of Dajjal. There will be war, Dajjal will retreat, and Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will pursue Dajjal. Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will have two flexible swords and one shield with him and with these he will kill Dajjal at the Gate of Hudd. He willl show the Muslims the blood of Dajjal which will get on his shield. Eventually the Yahudis will be selected and killed. The swine will be killed and the cross broken. People will revert to Islam. Wars will end, and people will return to their respective countries. One Jamaat (group) of Muslims will remain in his service and companionship.

Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will go to Fajr Rawha and perform Haj or Umrah (or both) from there. He will also go to the grave of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and present his greetings and Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) will reply. People will live comfortable lives. The wall of Yajooj and Majooj (Gog and Magog) will then break.

III. The Blessings of Hadhrat Isa (Jesus) (A.S.)

1 Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will descend and stay on earth.

2 His descension will be in the last era of the Ummat.

3 He will be a just ruler and a fair judge.

4 His ummat will be the Khalifa (deputies) of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam).

5 He will act himself and instruct others on the Qur'an and Hadith (Shariat/Tradition of Islam).
6 He will lead people in Salaat (Prayer).

7 He will stay on earth for a period of 40 years after descending. The will be the best era of the Ummat after the first era of Islam.

8 Allah will protect his companions from Jahannam.

9 Those who will save the Deen of Islam by associating themselves with Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will be amongst the most loved by Allah Ta'ala.

10 During this period all other religions and mazhabs besides Islam will perish, hence there will be no kuffaars (non-believers) in the world.

11 Jihad will be stopped.

12 No Khiraaj will be taken.

13 Nor Jizya (protection tax) money from the kafirs (non-believers)

14 Wealth and property will be in surplus to such an extent that there will be no one to accept the wealth of the other (everyone will be independent).

15 Receiving Zakaat (Alms-giving, Charity to poor) and Saadaqa will be discarded (as there will be no poor to receive them!).

16 The people will love the sajda (prostration to God) more than the world and what it consists of.

17 All types of Deeni (religious) and worldly blessings will descend on earth (many halaal (lawful) things will be created).

18 There will be peace, harmony and tranquility during the time of Hadhrat Isa (A.S.)'s stay in the world.

19 There will be no animosity for a period of seven years, even between two persons.

20 All hearts will be free from miserliness, envy, hatred, malice and jealousy.

21 For a period of forty years no one will fall ill or die.

22 Venom will be taken out of all venomous animals.

23 Snakes and scorpions will not harm anyone to the extent that if a child put his hand in its mouth, he will not be harmed.

24 Will animals will not harm anyone.

25 If a man will pass a lion, he will not be troubled or harmed, or even if any girl will open its mouth to test if it will do anything.

26 The camels will graze among lions, cheetahs with cattle and the jackals with goats.

27 The fertility of the land will increase to such an extent that even if a seed is planted in a hard rock, it will sprout.

28 A pomegranate will be so huge that a jamaat will be able to eat it and the people will use its peel as shade.

29 There will be so much barakaat (blessing) in milk that a camel will suffice for a huge jamaat, a cow for a tribe and a goat for a family.

30 In short, life will be most pleasant after the descension of Jesus (A.S.).

His Marriage, Death and Deputies

After his descension on earth, Hadhrat Isa (A.S.) will marry. He will have children, and he will remain on earth 19 years after marriage. He will pass away and Muslims will perform his Janaza Salaat and bury him net to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). (Tirmidhi)

The Signs are listed in roughly chronological order, although the order is not necessarily precise, especially for those in the future.

This is a brief summary of the signs; there are many books, articles, cassettes etc. which discuss these in greater detail. May Allah enable us to recognise and heed the Signs, and strengthen us in the times of tribulation.

"Are they waiting for anything except the Hour, to come to them suddenly? But its Signs have already come!" (Al-Qur’an, Surah Muhammad)

Past

1. Splitting of the Moon.

2. Death of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

3. A form of death which will kill thousands of Muslims. (Understood to refer to the plague of Amwas during the
caliphate of ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab.)

4. A major fighting in Madinah (understood to refer to the battle of al-Harrah during the caliphate of Yazid, 63 AH).

5. The Muslim conquest of Jerusalem.

6. The Muslim conquest of Constantinople.

7. Two large groups of Muslims will fight in war.

8. A war between the Muslims and a reddish people with small eyes, wearing sandals made of hair (understood to refer to
the Mongol Tatar invasion of the Islamic lands.)

9. A peace agreement between the Muslims and non-Muslims from the yellow race (Chinese, Mongols, etc.)

10. Thirty impostors (dajjal) will appear, each thinking he is a prophet.

Present?

11. Naked, destitute, barefoot shepherds will compete in building tall buildings.

12. The slave-woman will give birth to her master or mistress.

13. A trial (fitnah) which will enter every Arab household.

14. Knowledge will be taken away (by the death of people of knowledge), and ignorance will prevail.

15. Wine (intoxicants, alcohol) will be drunk in great quantities.

16. Illegal sexual intercourse will become widespread.

17. Earthquakes will increase.

18. Time will pass more quickly.

19. Tribulations (fitan) will prevail.

20. Bloodshed will increase.

21. A man will pass by the grave of another and wish he was in the latter’s place.

22. Trustworthiness will be lost, i.e. when authority is given to those who do not deserve it.

23. People will gather for prayer, but will be unable to find an imam to lead them.

Future

24. The number of men will decrease, whilst the number of women will increase, until for every man there are 50 women.

25. The Euphrates will reveal a treasure of gold, and many will die fighting over it, each one hoping to be the one who gains
the treasure.

26. The Romans (Europeans) will come to a place called A’maq or Wabiq, and an army of the best people will go forth from Madinah to face them.

27. The Muslim conquest of Rome.

28. The Mahdi (guided one) will appear, and be the Imam of the Muslims.

29. Jesus Christ will descend in Damascus, and pray behind the Mahdi.

30. Jesus will break the cross and kill the swine, i.e. destroy the false christianity.

31. The Antichrist (al-masih al-dajjal, the false christ) will appear, with all his tools of deception, and be an immense trial. He will be followed by 70,000 Jews from Isfahan (present-day Iran).

32. The appearance of Ya’juj and Ma’juj (Gog and Magog), and the associated tribulations.

33. The emergence of the Beast from the Earth, carrying the Staff of Moses and the Seal of Solomon, who will speak to the people, telling them they did not believe with certainty in the Divine Signs.

34. A major war between the Muslims (including Jews and Christians who truly believe in Jesus after his return) led by the Imam Mahdi, and the Jews plus other non-Muslims led by the Antichrist.

35. Jesus will kill the Antichrist at the gate of Ludd (Lod in present-day Israel, site of an airport and a major Israeli military base).

36. A time of great peace and serenity during and after the remaining lifetime of Jesus.

37. Wealth will come so abundant that it will become difficult to find someone to accept charity.

38. Arabia will become a land of gardens and rivers.

39. Society will then decay.

40. The buttocks of the women of the tribe of Daws will again sway in circumambulation (tawaf) around the idol Dhul-Khulsah.

41. A great fire in the Hijaz, seen by the inhabitants of Busra.

42. Three major armies will sink into the earth: one in the east, one in the west, one in Arabia.

43. An Abyssinian leader with thin shins will destroy the Ka’bah.

44. The huge cloud of smoke.

45. The sun will rise from the west (its place of setting).

46. A gentle wind which will take the souls of the believers.

47. There is no-one left on the earth saying, "Allah, Allah" or "There is no god except Allah."

48. Eventually the Day of Judgment is established upon the worst of the people, who copulate like donkeys in public.

49. The blowing in the Trumpet by the Angel Israfil, upon which everyone will faint except as Allah wills.

50. The second blowing in the Trumpet, upon which everyone will be resurrected.

Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked: "What are the deeds of the people of Hell, and what are the deeds of the people of Paradise?"

He replied: "The deeds of the people of Hell are:

associating partners with Allah
disbelieving in His Messengers
kufr (ingratitude, disbelief)
hasad (malicious envy)
lying
treachery
oppression and wrongdoing (dhulm)
promiscuity
backstabbing
cutting off the ties of kinship
cowardice at the time of jihad
miserliness
inconsistency between what is in one’s heart and the face one shows to people
despairing of the mercy of Allah
feeling secure from the plan of Allah
panicking blindly at the time of crisis
pride and extravagance at the time of plenty
abandoning one’s duties towards Allah
transgressing His limits
violating His sanctity
fearing a created being instead of the Creator
showing off
going against the Qur’an and Sunnah in word or deed
obeying a created being in some act of disobedience to the Creator
blindly supporting falsehood
mocking the Signs of Allah
rejecting the truth
withholding knowledge and testimony that should be revealed
witchcraft and magic
disobeying one’s parents
killing any soul forbidden by Allah except for reasons of justice
consuming the wealth of the orphan
riba (usury)
desertion from the battlefield
slandering the reputation of innocent, chaste, believing women." [Yaqadhat uli al-I`tibar, p. 222]

The Messenger, sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam, mentioned all the sins that will lead one to Hell. Muslim reports from `Iyaad ibn Himaar that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam, said, during a lengthy khutbah:

"…The people of Hell are five: the weak who lack the power to (avoid evil); the (carefree) who pursue (everything irrespective of wheher it is good or evil) and who have no concern for their families and their wealth; the dishonest people whose greed cannot be cocealed even in the case of minor things; and those who betray you, morning and evening, with regard to your family and your property. He also mentioned misers, liars, and those who are in the habit of abusing people and using obscene, foul language." [Muslim, 4/1297, no. 2865]

Descriptions of Paradise from the Qur'aan and Hadeeth

Gardens of perpetual bliss - they shall enter them, as well as the righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. And angels shall enter upon them every gate." [ar-Ra`d, 13:23]

"This is a reminder. Verily, for the righteous is a beautiful place of [final] return - gardens of eternity, whose doors will [always] be open to them." [Saad, 38:49-50]

"And those who feared their Lord will be led to the Garden in crowds, until behold, they arrive there. Its gates will be opened, and its keepers will say, 'Peace be upon you!' Well have you done, do enter it, abiding [in it] eternally." [Az-Zumar, 39:73]

Sahl bin Sa`d reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

"Paradise has eight gates, and one of them is called ar-Rayyaan, through which none will enter but those who observe fasting." [al-Bukhaari]

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

"Whoever spends two things in the way of Allah will be called from the gates of Paradise and will be addressed, 'Oh slave of Allah, here is prosperity!' So whoever was among the people who used to offer their prayers will be called from the gate of the prayer; and whoever was among the people who used to participate in jihaad will be called from the gate of jihaad; and whoever was among those who used to observer fasts will be called from the gate of ar-Rayyaan; and whoever was among those who used to give charity will be called from the gate of charity." Abu Bakr said, "Let my parents be sacrificed for you, oh Allah's Apostle! No distress or need will befall him who will be called from those gates. Will there be anyone who will be called from all these gates?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "Yes, and I hope you will be one of them." [al-Bukhaari]

`Uqba ibn `Aamir said:

"We were entrusted with the task of tending the camels. On my turn, when I came back in the evening after grazing them in the pastures, I found Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) stand and address the people. I heard these words of his, 'If any Muslim performs ablution well, then stands and prays two rak`ahs, setting about them with his heart as well as his face, Paradise will be guaranteed to him.' I said, 'What a fine thing this is!' A narrator who was before me said, 'The first was even better than this.' When I cast a glance, I saw that it was `Umar who said, 'I see that you have just come and observed. If anyone among you performs the ablution, completes the ablution well and says, "I testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger," then the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him and he may enter by whichever of them he wishes." [Muslim]

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger (peace be upon him) said:

"The gates of Paradise will be opened on Monday and on Thursdays, and every servant [of Allah] who associates nothing with Allah will be forgiven, except for the man who has a grudge against his brother. [About them] it will be said, 'Delay these two until they are reconciled. Delay these two until they are reconciled. Delay these two until they are reconciled.'" [Muslim, Maalik, Abu Dawood]

Descriptions of Paradise from the Qur'aan and Hadeeth

Certainly the ultimate goal of every Muslim is Paradise. As with all aspects of the Unseen, it can be only imagined through analogy, yet its realities are far beyond description in any human language. Allah (subhaanahu wa ta`aala) has prepared for His servants, "what no eye has seen and no ear has heard and has never occurred to a human heart." [al-Bukhaari, Muslim and others] This eternal home is not limited to what is described here of material and spiritual enjoyments, for it includes "all the soul has longed for" and finally, the greatest and most complete pleasure beyond all imagination - the presence and nearness of the Creator Himself.

Who are the inheritors of such blessing? Who are the souls worthy of such reward?

It is common belief among Muslims today that anyone who professes "La Ilaha ill-Allah" and "Muhammadun Rasoolullah" will enter Paradise. Yet this testimony is more than a statement of the tongue. It is an oath, a commitment that must be fulfilled. It has conditions and requirements which affect all aspects of life. It concerns authority - what actually governs our behavior and deeds. The Arabs of Quraish who refused to pronounce this kalimah did so because they fully understood its implications. Yet Muslims repeat it today without a second thought, their actions and lifestyles bearing witness to something totally different. And they expect Paradise!

In the Qur'aan, Allah (swt) has warned against complacency in religion like that of the Jews and Christians who mistakenly claim that God has favored them over others and that Paradise is theirs alone: "It is not by your wishes, nor the wishes of the People of the Scriptures. Whoever does a wrong shall be punished for it, and he will not find other than Allah as a protector or helper."

Yet many of today's Muslims consider themselves a chosen people, while neglecting the commands of their Lord, turning their backs on the sunnah of their Prophet (peace be upon him) and insisting on a secular life far from the blessings of divine law... perhaps even going so far as to deny certain aspects of that law. Customs and traditions, materialism, man-made social systems, national leaders and even their own inclinations are now sharing the authority which rightfully belongs exclusively to our Creator, Owner of the Day of Judgment.

The reward of Paradise is too great not to have a price. That price is true faith which is proven by obedience to Allah and His Messenger. The Qur'aan states, "And whoever desires the Hereafter and exerts the effor due to it while being a believer - those are the ones whose effort is appreciated [by Allah]." [17:19]

We must return to the Qur'aan, not simply in an emotional or academic manner, but with a sense of instruction for obedience and action. We must find out what kind of people Allah has asked us to be and then become as such. This is the road to Paradise.

that is When you say some thing abt Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam, Don't just say his name,coz It is not respectful.We must say salawath on his name.Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam.Coz when we say One salawath on Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam Allah will say 10 salawaths on us.

I donno if you know this,in Asian countries a Wife don't call her husband with his name coz they think its not respectful to call him like that.He is just the husband, Think abt Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam? how Great is he?So how should we respect him?.
When my brother was in thableeq some one told him that In Pakistan People don't call Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam by his name, they call him in names that Allah used in the Al-Kura'an, eg: Rasool Akram Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam, Ya Muzzamil Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam,etc... this is how they show their respect to Our Rasool Akram Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam.,

Next and the angles,When your saying their names Use Alithu Wassalam or Alai Salam after their names,
eg:Gibrile Alithu Wassalam(Alai Salam),Mikayil Alithu Wassalam(Alai Salam).etc...

and when you say a name of a Shabi (Muslims who saw Rasool Akram Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam), Say Raliallahu Anhu or Anha,We must respect them too.Allahu Subahanahuwwa thahala gives respect to them In the Al-Kura'an,

Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures. ( سورة البينة , Al-Bayyina, Chapter #98, Verse #7)

Their reward is with Allah. Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher. ( سورة البينة , Al-Bayyina, Chapter #98, Verse #8)

If you heard or recited this Surat you will understand how Allahu Subahanahuwwa Thahala says these verses.

and there are people who saw Sahabis,and Ulamas who studied abt Islam they should be respected too.
They should be called as Rahmathullai Alai,eg:Imam Gazzali Rahmathullahi Alai.This is how they should be called, they are scholars who studied abt Islam.More than us.

So my friend I don't force you to do this Allahu Subahanahuwwa Thahala and Rasool Akram Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam does,so Just think abt these and use them in your day today life.

This is what he said abt the Future.Before the day of Kiyama.(the day of Judgement)

* Camels will no longer be used as a means of transport;
* People will ride on saddles that aren't saddles (cars?)
* The distance on earth will become short;
* Horses will not be used in wars;
* Muslims will defeat the Byzantines which will end with the conquest of Constantinople Istanbul);

* The Jews will gather again to live in Bilad Canaan;
* Very tall buildings will be built;
* The disappearance of knowledge and the appearance of ignorance, with much killing;

* Adultery will become widespread, and the drinking of wine will become common;
* The number of men will decrease and the number of women will increase until there are 50 women to be looked after by one man.

* Islam will become worn out like clothes are, until no one will know what fasting, prayer, charity and rituals are;

* Allah will send a disease to fornicators that will have no cure (Aids?)
* People will begin to believe in the stars and reject AL QADAR
* Men will pass by people's graves and say: "Would that I were in his place"; (large amount of sucidal deaths?)

* The Euphrates will uncover a mountain of gold for which people will fight over (the river of Alfurat that lies near Syria);

* Two large groups of people will fight one another, and there will be many casualties; they will both be following the same religion (World War II?)

* Approximately 30 DAJJALS will appear, each one claiming to be the messenger of ALLAH;

* Earthquakes will increase;
* Time will pass quickly;
* Afflictions will appear;
* Killing will increase;
* Wealth will increase;
* Women will be wearing clothes but not wearing clothes

THE Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam SAID: "IF MY UMMAH BEARS 15 TRAITS (QUALITIES), TRIBULATION WILL FOLLOW IT." (DAY OF JUDGEMENT) SOMEONE ASKED,"WHAT ARE THEY O MESSENGER OF ALLAH?" HE (saw) SAID:

* When any gain is shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor;
* When a trust becomes a means of making profit;
* When paying ZAKKAT becomes a burden;
* When voices are raised in the mosque;
* When the leader of a people is the worst of them; when people treat a man with respect because what he may do;

* When much wine is drunk; red wind or the earth swallow them, or to be transformed into animals."

'IMRAN IBN HUSAYN SAID: "THE Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam SAID, 'SOME PEOPLE OF THIS UMMAH WILL BE SWALLOWED BY THE EARTH, TRANSFORMED INTO ANIMALS, AND SOME WILL BE BOMBARDED WITH STONES'. ONE OF THE MUSLIMS ASKED, WHEN WILL THAT BE O MESSENGER Of ALLAH?' HE SAID, 'WHEN SINGERS AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS WILL BECOME POPULAR, AND MUCH

WINE IS DRUNK.'" THE GREATER SIGNS OF THE HOUR The Quran will disappear in one night, even from the people's hearts, and no Ayah will be left on earth. (Some groups of old people will be left who will say: "We heard of fathers' saying "LAILLAHA ILLA ALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH" so we repeat it.

* The appearance of the MAHDI;
* The appearance of the DAJJAL (Anti Christ); * The appearance of Ya'juj and Ma'juj (biblical Gog and Magog);

* Isa (Jesus) will come during the time of Dajjal;
* The rising of the sun from the west;

Ramadan is the name 9th month of Islamic moon calender.It is very impotent because it is the month that the glorious Kura'an was first sent down from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam,
During Ramadan Muslims must fast.We don't eat or drink during dawn and sunset,and we should be very careful to speak and behave in the right way.
we learn many fasting things during Ramadan, it is the time to increase the remembrance of Allah,and remember the blessing which we have been given.
We learn how to be thankful for the good things normally take for granted.
after fasting all day we realize how wonderful food and drink taste, so we thank Allah more sincerely for providing for the enough to eat and satisfying out thirst,
Ramadan is a good form of training,they may come moments time in life when things are not easy, and we have to carry on Even though it is difficult.By fastin we learn to be patient in such times.Which control our self and our bodies.This is called self discipline.
During this holy month the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam Said,
"The doors of heaven are open and the Doors of Hell closed and the devils are Chained"
This helps us to see our selfs what we really are,Not under the influence of unseen evil forces,We can watch and improve our selfs more specially by reading the kura'an and going to the musjid,Joining in the Tharavih prayer.
In Ramadan there is a Special night,It is better than one thousand months,It is called Lailathul Kathur,its the night that the Kura'an first reviewed, its a night all our sins can forgiven.
Fasting is also important because it makes the rich equal to the poor,It gives them a chance to realise what life is like for the less fortunate those who have little no food.This helps them to become more charitable and give there wealth to the needy so they too share the blessings of Allah which are enough for all.

It is being described as the ayats of the Shaytan and Al-Furqan weekly magazine has found out that the two American printing companies;'Omega 2001' and 'Wine Press' are involved in the publishing of 'The True Furqan', a book which has also been titled 'The 21st Century Quran'! It is over 366 pages and is inboth the Arabic and English languages...it is being distributed to our children in Kuwait in the private English schools! The book contains 77 Surats, which include Al-Fatiha, Al-Jana and Al-Injil. Instead of Bismillah, each Surat begins with a longer vesion of this incorporating the Christian belief of the three spirits. And this so called Quran opposes many Islamic beliefs. in one of its ayats it describes having more than one wife as fornication, divorce being non-permissable and it uses a new system for the sharing out of the will, opposing the current one. It states that Jihad is HARAAM. This book even goes as far as attacking Allah, Subhanahu wa Tahala! All this is poisoning children at approx. $3. How to take Wud'u

Here's How:

1.A Muslim begins every action with intention. To yourself, make the intention to cleanse yourself for prayer, for the sake of Allah.

2.To yourself, say "Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem" (In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful).

3.Wash your hands three times, making sure the water reaches between the fingers and all over the hands.

4.Bring a handful of water to your mouth and rinse it thoroughly three times.

5.Sniff water into your nose three times to clean it. Use your right hand to bring up the water, and your left hand to expel it.

6.Wash your entire face three times.

7.Wash your arms, up to the elbows, three times. Start with the right.

8.Wash your hands and use the wet hands to wipe over your head three times, from front to back and front again.(You must wash your hand each time you whipe your head)

9.Wash your hands and use your wet fingers to wipe the inside and outside of your ears, three times.

10.Wash your feet up to the ankles three times. Start with the right.

Tips

1.Only a small amount of water is needed for wud'u, and Muslims are not to be wasteful.

2.When your doing the Wud'u you have to do every thing 3 times as it is mentioned but it is a Sunnath to do 3 times.You can do that once.Eg:if you have a limited water,or if your in a rush etc... you can do thas once.But you wont get the benifits for the Sunnaths if you did that once.

How to Pray

How to Pray
Five times each day, Muslims bow down to Allah in prayer. If you are learning how to pray, or are just curious about what Muslims do during prayer, follow along with these general guidelines.

Here's How:

1.Make Wud'u as its mentioned in the first post.

2.Make sure your body and place of prayer are clean. Make the intention to perform your obligatory prayer.

3.Standing, raise hands up and say "Allahu Akbar" (God is Most Great).

4.Standing with hands folded over chest, recite the first chapter of the Qur'an(Surah Fathiha)in Arabic. Then recite any other verses of the Qur'an that you would like.

5.Raise hands up, saying "Allahu Akbar." Bow, reciting three times, "Subhana rabbiyal adheem" (Glory be to my Lord Almighty).

6.Rise to standing while reciting "Sam'i Allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa lakal hamd" (God hears those who call upon Him; Our Lord, praise be to You).

7.Raise hands up, saying "Allahu Akbar." Prostrate on the ground, reciting three times "Subhana Rabbiyal A'ala" (Glory be to my Lord, the Most High).

8.Rise to a sitting position, saying "Allahu Akbar." Prostrate again in the same manner.

9.Rise to a standing position, saying "Allahu Akbar."

10. This concludes one "rak'a" (cycle or unit of prayer). Begin again from Step 3 for the second rak'a.

11.After two rak'as, one remains sitting after the prostrations and recites the first part of the Tashahhud in Arabic.

12.If the prayer is to be longer than these two rak'as, one now stands up and begins again to complete the prayer, sitting again after all rak'as have been completed.

13.Recite the second part of the Tashahhud in Arabic.

14.Turn to the right and say "Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah" (Peace be upon you and God's blessings).When your saying the salam think that your saying this to the two aingles who is on your sholders.(Rakeeb and Atheed alaisalam)

15.Turn to the left and repeat the greeting.

Tips:

1. If Arabic is not your native tongue, learn the meanings in your language while trying to memorize the Arabic.

THE EXCELLENCE OF THE UMMAH OF Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)

The Tauba of the previous ummahs (nations) was that Allah made a halaal thing haraam due to their sins. Allah also used to write their sin on their doors or on their limbs.

However, Allah has been extremely bountiful to the ummah of Rasulullaah (sallAllaahu-alaihi-wasallam) by not exposing their sins in this manner.

Whenever the sinner turns to Allah asking for forgiveness, Allah says, “My slave has sinned and has realized that he has a Rabb Who is Forgiving and Who has the power to take him to task.” Allah then forgives the person.

Allah says, “Whoever commits a sin or oppresses himself, and then seeks forgiveness from Allah, he shall find Allah to be Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.” A person should repent every morning and evening for his sins.

Gha is for ghaib, a world unseen and that we know is not a dream;
Fa is for, the Opening, Al-Fatiha;
and Qua for the Qur'an, the book of God;
and Ka is for kalima, a word we're taught to teach us what is good and what is not;
and La is for the beginning of La ilaha illa'allah;
Ma is for the Messenger Muhammed-ur-Rasoolillah. La ilaha illa'allah, Muhammed-ur-
Rasulilllah;
